Hi All

I attach some photos of the beast fresh from the paint shop for all those who wanted to see it.

I have some 15 inch wire wheels for it, but am having difficulty finding the tyres. They need to be 225 55 r15
Goodyear Eagles used to do them, but they are now discontinued. These would give a similar ride height to the 16 inch Toyos 225 50 on it now.
Hope you like it. it gets a lot of attention, mainly because people are curious to know what it is.

:welcome: to the forum from West Cumbria. Nice. The wire wheels when on will set it off nicely

Hi and welcome from Mansfield. Nice to see something different. Some bright work and the wires would really set it off.

:welcome: Hi and welcome from me too :coolsteer)

:welcome: Now thats different ! Looks a nice job. Theres a few members fitting various kits to a z3 base.

A 205/60/15
Will give you a 2mm loss in diameter its only 0.7% out or rolling radius so @30 you would be doing 30.21Mph

:welcome: That's a great looking car, let's see some pictures from different angles. :)

Thanks All for the kind words and interest from everyone.

I thought the 205 60 r15 suggestion was good and it seems a readily available size. Surprisingly the height works out at 24.7" the same height as for the 225 55 r15's I was looking for. I didn't mention that the wire wheel rims are 7.5 " wide. 205mm can be fitted as a minimum, but they really recommend 215 to 225 as ideal.
So I'm now thinking of a 215 60 r15 tyre . The height works out to 25.2" which I think close enough. Half an inch difference, to the 24.7" I wanted. Half that for ride height, makes it a quarter of an inch higher, just get a bigger girlfriend and I'm back to the ride height I wanted !
I will keep the other wheels which are Land Rover ones, would you believe, fitted with Toyo's. (225 50 r16) They give great ride and grip. The existing wheels would be easier to clean in the winter than wires..

Welcome from Ireland! Great lookig car!

Here's a few more angles as requested.
For the eagle-eyed among you, you will notice its grown another exhaust pipe.
Sorry I don't have build pictures. I bought it mainly constructed but unpainted.
I was wondering if anyone would comment on the wheel centres.
I made them from spray can lids capped off with the bottom of Fosters cans. They certainly got to the parts...Doh wrong beer.
