A great roof down 3 hours in the Lakes today. A595 - A66 up to just before Pooley Bridge, skirted Ulswster on the A592 and on up to the Kirkstone Inn. Down the Struggle and through Ambleside on to the A591 shadowing Grasmere and Thirlmere. On to Keswick and back on the A66 shadowing Brassenthwaite then home. Plenty of Z3 & Z4 but no waves :arghh:

 
You certainly had a cracking day for it Andy. I have just done a 12 shift at work in St Hellens. No zedding for us on this hottest weekend of the year, got a christening to go to tomorrow

Are you sure the Zeds you saw weren't reflections in shop windows, we know how vein you can be?

LoL. A few out and about today, saw about 6 I think. Yup, soon be upon us :thumbsup:
 
Sounds like a great route you took! I remember passing through Keswick in my younger days. The countryside and scenery stays with me!:)

Great drive. It will be one of my future lakes tours with the addition of Honistor Pass.

And..................... he doesn't tell his neighbours either :( i was out and about yesterday up to Ambleside,Hawkshead and over to see Wray Castle. Didnt see one zed on my route, in fact nearly had the twisty roads to myself from newby bridge to wray, top down all the way, a glorious day.

Sorry @SeaSurfer it was an off the cuff trip out. I'll put out an all points bulletin next time I'm out and about. :sorry:
