Finished the flat and polish and enough of the electrics to make it legal on Friday night. Started putting the goodies on on Saturday/Sunday.
little trip down Brighton seafront on Sunday eve. still work to do and after fitting new rubber to the intake and a K n N cone filter its still holding the revs when I change gear? Cable? I have cleaned the throttle body but only in situ. The Range Rover is the same paint code!

Nearly finished, just the grills, suspension, boot adjustment, water jets and general tinkering. Exhaust completed last night its loud! resonator removed and a Y piece put in. spare wheel carrier removed and single exits either side with black tips.
Trip into work with her today and drove spot on.

I’ve said it before elsewhere. Good job Mark. We’ll have to get the Kobras together one day.

It didn't happen! but i did get to open the tin of paint and see the colour. didn't look the same as the paint code I asked for but will probably look different sprayed compared to the stick colour.
Maybe base coat and lacquer today/tomorrow and why is the spell check on here in American? Colour has a U in it =))=)). so this is how I left her last night with the insides masked off ready to flash in the door shuts.
Oh just another thing It's coming home it's coming home footballs coming home cmon England.
Does anyone know where I can get a chrome front screen surround from and the wood finish that goes from just behind the gearstick surround as this and forward are already done.
And here's another picture of Pizza seeing as it went down so well last timeView attachment 83453 .View attachment 83450 View attachment 83451 View attachment 83452
Hi, built one of these myself. Chrome windscreen surround available from BMW main dealers. Can retro fit by removing tabs although best fit is to remove screen. Cost about £150.

Do you have any more details on removing the fuel filler neck?
I'm struggling with finding any information on that.
Cheers,

Hi Chris,

Mark might come along with an answer also. I had the original Z3 filler glassed into my rear clam so cannot answer from experience.

I would contact the official Tribute build agents as they have built kobras with new filler locations.

They are Classic Coachworks based near Basingstoke. Nice people and helpful.

Also there is a Tribute Owners Facebook group if you are on FB. Lastly try the kit car forum called Madabout Kit cars. There are build threads there too

Where you located. Bought a kit and donor yet?

Hi. You need to use a hacksaw to cut a slot in outer filer neck, gold coloured section that the filler cap fits on to. Then use some grips to twist off. The inner section with unleaded restriction flap then just pulls out. Use 2" flexi fuel resistant pipe which is not cheap! Push the pipe as far in to the filer neck as you possibly can and seal with some tiger flex or similar. I used a 2 part resin.

Hi marky, enjoyed reading that.

I see you've got a delay in the rev's dropping almost like you have a sticking cable. Are you running an EWS delete ECU ?

It's possible the map on the ecu needs adjusting but you can manually do this yourself by restricting the air flow into your ICV.

This is something I spent weeks chasing last summer before I narrowed it down. If you want to know more I can dig the thread I found in the states.

Lee

(edit: just realised this is an old thread)

I got my kit from Classic Coach works but didn't start building it for a few months due to ill health. I couldn't see how the fuel filler came off without destroying it. Thanks for the help.
