Fitted a "new" sideload door and rear door on Gary's Crafter today. That side door is huge!

Whoever removed the doors was careless and bust the cable to the upper catch so we had to swap that off the old door.

Tony.

Close, but no cigar:(

Tony.

That looks a good job Tony:thumbsup:. As said above at least the doors were blue. Did the 'garden ornament' go ok?

Sadly not yet Dave. The winning bidder has not paid the deposit so Gary is offering it to the next highest bidder.

Nothing is ever straight forward is it. Best of luck with #2 bidder;)

So after yesterday's efforts today it was preparing the new locks for the garage doors. These needed spacing out from the door frame so I scrounged a piece of hardwood to make some spacers.

I need to order another pair of locks now but will get the up and over door done this next week. Finished washing down my tool boxes and got the drawers refitted (need to replace 2 of the ball bearing sliders - should be under warranty from Snap-On).

Got to go to Retford to collect a parts washer in the morning after dropping Abz off at Lincoln Uni. No shopping training this week.:)
A little job for next week.

Graham's genny has let him down for the 1st. time :(

Tony.

ps. Have measured all the windows for fitting one way mirrored film too.

Still keeping out of mischief today. After a Doc's visit with Shirl I got the deadbolt locks fitted on the Shed's up and over door. After drilling all necessary holes locks were removed and the bare metal painted. Then locks fitted and excess bolt length trimmed off and locks and spacers painted.

Tomorrow will see alarms fitted on both sheds in garden. Have to make some blanking plates too. I like being busy

Tony.

Looks like you have been proper busy and retirement is suppose to be relaxing =))
Nice to do things you want to though is more rewarding and less like work !

One of the best theft deterrents I saw was a very loud siren inside a garage.

So once they'd got in it'd be too loud for anyone to stay in the room.

Sounds like your starting to do things for yourself, with the time now available to achieve what you’ve always aimed at but work got in the way. So happy for you, but don’t do what I did in my first year and end up in hospital because I got so enthusiastic I thought I was 25 again. Can’t wait to see what your up to and now your at home all day perhaps a few week day visits could be on the cards.:coolsteer)...........;)

Roy.

Ps: Last visit to hospital found nothing so more tests next week. Not feeling too bad. Chin up.

No news is good news mate so they say. Take it easy. Got to wash and clean the garage windows inside to apply the mirrored film. 2nd. pair of locks should be here tomorrow and I've already got the hardwood spacers made so shouldn't take long to fit.

Tony.

That’s good news that your getting things done. Nothing like doing for yourself or family, it’s a great feeling when you stand back, look, say to yourself “always wanted to do that”. You’ve got a lot more of that great feeling to come my old mate. See you soon.

Roy.;).

Garage windows all scraped and cleaned inside ready for the film next week (assuming it's not freezing).
The parts washer got a dose of it's own medicine (Just because something does a dirty job doesn't meant it has to be dirty).

Just need to acquire some cleaning fluid now, about 5 ltr. should do it I reckon.
Next, take a set of new injectors for Abz's Beetle into Tanvic's then run Abz home before tea. That's another day done.

I was Tim, haven't fished since before my heart valve operation. I was banned from doing it (and even playing darts would you believe?) as casting a heavy feeder across the Trent wasn't good for my sternum healing. By the time I was healed, along with some other issues surrounding our local group of friends, I totally lost interest and apart from fishing in Florida I've not fished since.
Another job on my "to do" list in the spring is to lump all my coarse tackle together and sell it. One more reason is that my local club members have gone the Carp Lake match route and that doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Tony.
