Hello all. I have joined the forum at long last so I can get info about my Z3. ( 1.9 Auto 1998 model, Palmettogreen)We have owned our Z3 roadster for 22 years, it used to be my wife's every day commuter car. Now its our sunny days car, (I don't know how many days that will be)
I have a few rust issues with the front quarter panels and the rear wings and sill covers. Luckily I can repair the wings but the sills have seen better days. So my question is, has anyone got 2 sill covers for sale or know were I can get a couple from.

Hi Alan, the only place you will get decent sill covers is from BMW, anything else would be a waste of time, effort and money. You could get them painted locally and fit them yourself? One of the benefits of bolt-on panels.

Tony.

Hi, welcome from Mansfield.

As Tony has said previously, the only way to get decent outer sills is to buy new from BMW. I reently did this and they cost approx £130 each.

As your's is a prefacelift car, the body of these came in narrow and wide. The 1.9 were narrow bodied and the 2.8 were wide bodied. I mention this as it would effect the sill that you would require.

As yours is narrow bodied, the part numbers are:
  • Left - 412 183 986 49
  • Right - 412 183 986 50
