Hi guys,
Thanks for the invite into the group. At the moment I’m just soaking up as much info on z3/4’s as I can with the view of buying something in the future.
I’m a bit of a bmw fan, as I own a 2014 430dx m,sport ,I’ve had from new and a 2021 128ti.
I also have a 2020 gs1250 and a R9T Urban.
20 years ago I had a few mgb’s one of which we converted to V8 with a SD1 engine and 5 speed box, so I’m sure I’ve got enough of the sickness to blend in with the group.
I’m probably drawn more to the Z3 as a classic car rather than the newer Z4, hopefully someone could enlighten me to the pros and cons of both models.
cheers

Welcome from down here... I own a 3, but I,m not getting into that debate, safest bet is to get both...
One you want to drive and the other you want to fix half the time...;)
Joking aside, I have the 3 for its classic value, but I prefer the look of the 4...

Welcome to the forum.

Pros and cons? I suppose one is newer than the other. Even early z4'a are pretty old now. But, for me there's only 2 options. Z3 or e89.

Simple: Z3 best looking with it's retro styling, Z4 E85 best 'sportscar' and E89 best compromise of looks and versatility for everyday use.('M' models are different animals.)

Thanks for the replies folks, I’m still trying to navigating the site as there is a lot of info here.
I suppose I’m drawn to the earlier cars as I like the idea of the first generation, but getting something solid and relatively reliable would be my first priority.
