Hi and welcome, I have the same model and age. One question, What is the silver 'thing' with the Z on it above the vent on the dash?

One thing i have noticed is that the electric roof needs a little manual assistance to get it moving, just the first couple of inches and then it goes off on its own, is that normal?

Totally normal, you do have to lift the front edge about 6 inches.

its not a Z, it's a magnetic thing which i'm guessing is some kind of phone/sat nav holder, there is also a couple of them in the centre consol by the handbrake, i guess the previous owner fitted them.
