Hi all, just joined after buying our Z3. Year 2000 Roadster purrs great already sorted out a new front badge and a leaky washer bottle and we have only had it 3 days. Everything else seems to be OK but if not I will be on the forum for advice. Oh just one thing how easy is it to get door mirror off, it's rusted on the bottom color apparently it's a common thing.
Thanks Harleybob09.
Hi all again, got a whine from rear end sounds like diff area any ideas. Sounds a bit like washing machine on spin cycle not very loud though.
Thanks Bob.

Welcome to the forum, and make sure when you take the door card off to use a plastic tool rather than just pulling as you could damage the door card itself to access the back of the mirror mounts. Its an easy job, you just need to take your time doing it.

Hello and welcome from Truro. You don't have to get the door panels off to get your mirror off the door. Remove the mirror glass from the housing, undo the 4 motor screws and you can detach the motor wires. I found it a lot easier than dismantling the door and as Paul has already mentioned, the possibility of damaging the door card too. I may have over simplified it in my description but it was the way I changed mine.

Hi. It would have been great if it was an individual one but apparently about five exist in the UK. And yes you are correct the colour is Mora Red.
Yours Bob.
