Hello, just joined!! Had a Sapphire black 2.5 about 6 years ago, enjoyed it so much, decided to get one again. 2003, Grey 2.5 with 138,000 on the clock, cheap enough, and when I got it last week, long list of things to do. Filthy inside, so good clean, broken ash tray, glove box lid, rear middle brake light broken , headlamp covers need refurbed , so a 3m kit for that, one key which does not always work with buttons, so just using key in the door at the moment, passenger door does not work on central locking, headlamp inspection plate missing on offside wheel arch liner, rear brakes need done, and bang when you release accelerator after accelerating from stand still, so probably middle propshaft bearing gone. Oh well. Looking forward to getting her back to a decent condition!! Changed the oil yesterday putting Castrol Magnatec stop n go 5-30 in and found the oil filter had disintegrated, and oil was leaking through top of oil filter housing, as the gasket was squared off and hard as iron !! Will try and put pics of car and old oil filter on.

Welcome Kevin, seen a few Zeds with collapsed filters, sadly not too uncommon these days. Clearly the car is going to enjoy a better servicing regime under your ownership!
