....and because i can.
As suggested by BMBabe so let's see if i can make it a goodun
Today day's drive out was over to Dungeness for lunch at the world famous Pilot Inn.
Most excellent !
Now the interesting bit. A few of you paying attention might have noticed i joined Match.com a few weeks ago.
As soon as i added a profile and few pictures, by phone started going bing, bing, bing.
To start with i mostly, went delete, delete, delete.
Then there were a couple with no pictures, i read their profiles and was intrigued and eventualy i liked back.
First lady replied "How can you like someone without seeing what they looked like?"
I replied, "I read your profile and liked your style"
A couple of ,minutes later my phone went bing, she had sent me a picture.
I immediately sent my phone number, a few minutes later my phone rang.
We spent the next hour and a half chatting, was most excellent. Very nice.
The following few days she called for a chat, but i could not get a date for a date, she was always too busy.
Now she is on Hayling Island, which i know well, so i have booked a boat trip out of Langstone Harbour on Friday. I have also booked the 4* hotel nest to the harbour for two nights.
I have given her the dates i will be in town. So tomorrow's drive out to Hayling is not just for the hell of it !
The second lady with no picture in her profile, also replied similar i replied similar and sure enough the phone rang. Again, very pleasant long chat but this time arranged a date for 1830 last Friday.
With no idea what she looked like i went to pick her up.
Turning the corner to our meet point, was this blonde slim stylish lady.
Single red rose issued

and "most charmed" announced. Off we went to her fav' pub
the Coast guard at St. Margerates on Cliffe.
On arrival at the car park, i realized i had forgot my wallet

(Decided on a different jacket on the way out the door) "No worries" she said i have money.
Sitting out side on a balmy evening, time just flew. The drive back in the dark with the roof down was magical.
The next day she text saying was a fantastic evening she had had, but with so much in her life
at the moment she could not afford time for a distraction. No worries my dear.
Last Sunday lunch time i arrange to meet another, Kim, in town. Again a very nice experience, but again felt it was not to go any further, blonde, classy and well connected in the city etc.
I received a text in the evening, that i thought was brilliant.
She said "I felt sparks but was hoping for a thunderbolt"
Most excellent !
I replied "At my age i don't think i can generate a thunderbolt"
So two good friends made already.
Tomorrow i hope to hear from 'Miss Hayling Island 1980'
Would be a shame if it don't happen, just to say hello.
I have arranged another date for Saturday, Brighton, have booked a room On Brighton Seafront for Sat night.
Again, we have spoken at length on the phone swapped text's each morning.
Now i learn she lives in Brighton Marina, oh my, most excellent. So that's where we will meet.
Buy a Z3, let the barber put gel in my hair again this morning and dating on Match.com.
Mid-life crisis, me ? nah
Shall i post picture of Miss Hayling or would that be naughty.
