A minor detail ;). As you said probably wont be on the finished article. I rate them as a winter wheel simply because they're easy to clean. I don't enjoy cleaning wheels :(;)

I have recently bought a set, if only I had waited I could have had his, lol, they look in pretty good nick too..

yes they where refurbed a couple of years ago, I have to say that since the above comment that have grown on me as a winter wheel so I will probably be keeping them in the garage :D

I did take a good look around it and checked the rear cross member, these thing tend to lower the sellers expectations :D, Oh its now in my possession.

Only got it at 4pm and had to drive the seller home, I was going to use the 2.8 but it was heavy snow across country so took the daily drive, I will start stripping the shell on Saturday, can't wait as I am a bit concerned as to what I might find.

Got a nice surpise today, I found the leather folder with all the original brochures and it has full BMW service history, only the last one is not dealership and was done 4k ago, a couple of big year gaps though, 15 stamps in total
