Just bought a 1999 Z3 and figured I'd better join something that I could possibly get some good information from ;) hope this is the place.

I think I got a good deal, only two issues with the vehicle at this point, the drivers seat(hole in it) and the A/C compressor is out.... and it's only 96 degrees out today LOL

Anyway, I will be spending a lot of time reading and researching things. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions.

Hey Larry and welcome from near Lincoln UK., you have chosen wisely in choice of car and this, the best Zroadster forum, bar none. I'm guessing you're down south somewhere by those temperatures, Florida?
Anything you may need to know is right here, just ask some one will have the answer you need..

Tony.

:welcome: Sounds like a nice car Larry.
The aircon may just be a leak if all the switches light but the compressor doesn't cut in.
Mine was like this when i brought it, if the compressor was fed with a voltage the clutch worked fine so it was just the lower pressure switch doing its job.
Recharged it worked fine but the leak then showed up being just 'O' rings.
Hope you find the info you need

Thanks everyone, I've been out enjoying the drive of the new (to me) "zed" ;) It's been a great day. I put about 100 miles on today and will do more tomorrow.
What I've come away with so far is this...

People love the car
We were yelled at once saying "NICE Car" while on the highway.
I think we got a heck of a deal
it's peppy, it handles well in the corners I could find today
My mirrors are HOT, physically to touch them, they're HOT... not sure if we have heated mirrors if so, should they be on all the time?
