I would love quads but the battery box needs moving
Can be done without moving the battery box - the M has massive backboxes hence the battery box is relocated.
I’ve seen it done without moving the battery box- I’m pretty sure it like that on @Steve Medlock MK1 2.8.
I can confirm it sounds tasty, like it’s in stereo when you inside it!
Will look good on your 2.8

I’ve also decided to sell my Sapphire black 2.2 individual.

Just got to get an MOT on it and tidy some bits.

I’ve never seen a facelift in this colour - it looks like the Bond blue that was on the MK1 models.

I have a local place that I can take it to and see what they say, getting all excited now

Fix it up it would be a shame to have to break it if it's running well, the 2.2s sound great too. I have a mate with a quad exhaust but no back boxes you can do that if you feeling brave

Yes, my pre-facelift 2.8 has a quad system. The spare wheel had to go but the battery box doesn't interfere with it.

The jury is still out, its more profitable to break it

Needed anther project and this came up. This pic is from when I advertised it last year on the forum, a mate ended up buying it. he has done 2k in it and it has been stored in a barn all winter, he messaged me and said give us a grand and you can take it as I need the room, its in need of an MOT (runs out at the end of the month) and a bit of paintwork, virtually rust free but I will be removing the sills and treating the inners, also has black sport seats, blue roof and split rims that are in great nick, plus 4 good tyres.
Worse bits, needs a front bumper as its cracked and a bit lumpy on idle and seems to lack power, gos well enough but seems flat compared to my 2.8, I found a split in a vacuum hose so hopefully that will sort it, I'll put the reader on it next week, 111k miles
Oh, I paid a lot less then a grand for it.;)
It will be up for sale when its done

I now have a secure place for the 2.2 so will more then likely be breaking it,
I will start to list various parts when I have detailed pics, just a thought though, I can do the body panels to the colour of your choice

Oh dear, the guy drove it down to me tonight and sentiment might have got the better of me, it just looks to nice to break and is trotally stock as the sport seats where factory, got aircon and electric roof, even the sills look good and the blue roof looks great

Thats a 4th option mate,
option 1 break it
option 2, MOT it and sell it as is
option 3, MOT it and do the paintwork so the body is mint
The jury is still out and to be honest after driving the 2.8 the 2.2 just doesn't do it and I don't like the facelift rear quarters
