About 18 months ago on my way home from.work on night my drivers side door mirror glass decided it didn't want to be part of my car any more.
Well, today the passenger side one went the same way, as I drove put of the garage.:(

More expense.

Did it smash on hitting the ground , I was lucky an was able to just reattach

No Mark, it's in "kit form" now. :( Found a replacement on eBay for £6.10 so could be worse.

Tony.

Possibly was that when the o/s one fell off as I was overtaking something a little quickly ;), but this time it was just as a started to move. Honest Guv.

That happened to my Black Z4 , but I managed to save the mirror and we put it back on with sticky pads :p

No it broke into many pieces but new one should be here by Wed/Thur this week.

Tony.

Blast! How did it break into tiny pieces? Was it the cold weather?!? Or a problem with the Z4s?

It fell off and hit the garage floor. Don't know if it is a common thing TBH, not heard but seeing as both of mine have dropped off I guess it might be.

Tony.

Shame Tony @t-tony seems a bit of a coincidence. Must be a design fault.

My drivers side fell out in the garage last year but was reversing in so caught it. Bit of glue and jobs a gud un!

So Shirl, doesn't like jigsaw puzzles ;)

At least its not a fortune to replace

I remember sticking one back on Jim's Z3 a couple of years ago.

Tony.

I remember when I first had my ///M mirrors and I wanted to change the N/S glass to a flat type so it didn't distort. I smashed the OEM one taking it off, plugged the new one into the heating circuit to check it works, started the car and it dropped to the floor and smashed

This has reminded me also that the N/S one is loose at the moment and need sticking back on again.

Well don't forget mate, or you know what'll remind you ;)

Tony.
