Just before Christmas

why dont you put a small pile of broken fibreglass in the garden and claim it was a hard top=))

or better still, i could have parked my m44 there and said hey those stupid cows have knocked two of my cylinders off.

I could do littlefeller but being a gardener it will go on the rhubarb that is also flat as a pancake. Just left it all as it is will clear up when we come back, paths only, after ins. co. have been.
Farmer said that the cows got out through a hedge, but some stayed maybe they did not want to walk up hill from down near the sea.

Heard strange noise which woke us up at 12.15am last night that sounded like a large load of bricks being tipped out from a great height onto a path of. Startled my wife looked out of the bedroom window to see to her surprise a herd of black & white cows charging passed all in the garden, which we have on three sides. Looking this morning what a mess of churned up grass and flatten plants broken pots that have been knocked over. Ours was not the only garden, but we have now found out where they escaped from and the farmer has agree to put things right.

Once cows step into the garden it's a complete refurb from scratch! Hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction.

Mine, his ins.co have said that I can find a firm of my choice to reinstate things, so no cabbage planting or ploughing

Bloody hell!

Have had the neighbour's horses get loose with one actually attempting to come into our kitchen when we opened the door to check out the noises going on but never had a herd of cows. Would have set one aside for the freezer though if I had!! I'll see if I can track down the pic of the horse coming in the door and post it!! As you say, the joys of country living. Luckily no damage was done by the horses!! JIM

A specialist firm are coming after the new year to look and quote.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS (YET AGAIN, sorry hard top) HaHa

Cut your losses and just get them to build a swimming pool. It will be full in three days at this rate.

It's impossible to do any ground work in this. Bordering on dangerous if nothing else.

I don't know about filling up a swimming pool in three days with all this rain as the level in my pond has gone down I think due to earth movement as a result of all the rain.
The main A39 just the road from us 1 mile was flooded in several places, and Cleeve Park down the road on the way to Blue Anchor bay got flodded in the section of level ground. Glad that we live on the side of a hill on two sides before it goes down to the sea..
Work should now start tomorrow weather permitting but even then it could get very muddy.

No work yesterday to wet & windy ground soggy they will see what today brings

Work started, sun shining, one lawn up and working on the second then just one more. As it come up it is loaded onto a pallet and a crane lorry lifts it over hedge onto lorry which saves it being taken in a wheelbarrow from back to front, plus a lorry parked out the front would stop neighbours getting in and out of close.
Its very muddy its like watching un interesting mud wrestling with men.
