Hi everyone,
I have just signed up. I own a ‘97 2.8. It’s a beautiful car, having had a few 3 series in my youth, I have always loved BMW’s especially that straight 6 engine. I’m not such a fan of any make of modern car, they are all losing their souls in my opinion. I look forward to conversing with you in due course.

Thanks, it was more a case of it chose me, I came across sitting in someone’s garage unused for 3 years and I couldn’t just leave it there. It was owned by an MG fanatic who had never got around to working on it, so for £2,600 including its original hard top, I got a beautiful motor. I have spent a good bit more on it since I bought it 3 years ago!

Hi @Cues2 and welcome from me near Lincoln. As Andy said a great deal for the price, I guess after 3 years you will have discovered what needed doing as opposed to what wants doing. These cars are great but can become a money pit. But enjoy it all the same. Where are you located please?
