One, I repeat ONE vehicle was blown over in this freak weather event in Humberstone (Cleethorpes) N. Lincs this morning. Why do they have to report in the Plural ?
This is why people panic buy, they simply believe what they are told (most probably cannot read).

Tony.

It's just click bait. Nowadays the majority of news outlets don't sell as many hard copies of newspapers so they have to rely on their websites.

The main way that they can generate income from them is through advertising and that's mostly going to be so much per click or website visit.

So, it doesn't really matter what garbage they're reporting so long as the headline is catchy enough to make you click on it.

The BBC doesn't have adverts, but the journalistic quality is the same as everywhere else so they are just as bad.

True, but Peter Levy on Look North did exactly the same thing on TV.

True that the BBC doean't sell newspapers but I often watch the BBC news people interviewing some MP and just the way they're going at it you can tell they get a lot of personal satisfaction out of twisting people's words hoping to get 'their scoop' scrolling across the bottom of the screen.

Worst one is that Laura Keunsberg. I mute the TV when she is on, can't stand her.

'Mini tornado' rips through Humberston and Thorngumbald. And causes 27p worth of damage. Damn this click-bait. And why put a picture in with the caption "Debris was left strewn in the road in Thorngumbald" that shows no debris left strewn in the road?

What? No debris in the picture? :eek:How are we supposed to appreciate the gravity of the situation when they can't be bothered to find an old stock photo of some debris. Shame on them!

There you go, sorted. Easy life being a journalist, I feel.

That's a bit better. But no. Being a journalist isn't that easy. An experienced hack would have a child's toy or something like that in his camera bag. He doesn't actually want to travel anywhere near the danger zone. Any old pile of rubble with a child's toy sticking out really gets the message home.

Media hacks - motoring and photography are the worst - have a simple moral code, which means they must be kind to the advertisers, who pay their publication. Truth for the readership is very low on the list, behind prejudices, gut feelings, and mistakes! Just look at any 'Road Test' of a Z3 . . .

You mean they actually got something right ? ;)

Maybe the owner of the motorhome had it on it's side already to replace the beam bushes??? A real ShedZ project!!!

High winds here last night as well, 8p of damage to my 250SWB and blew the whole front end of the California off crashing it into a tree.

The wind was so strong it appears to have blown a green bungy cord around the tree and half of the next door neighbour's stair carpet landed on the air filter!

The BBC are every bit as bad as the Murdoch lot, highly paid agitators of the worst kind. They're no better than the Nazi RMVP, Goebbel's delightful organisation.

Needless to say, the BBC can whistle for my licence fee.

You never know, it may actually make a good filter material, and you could get any pattern you like, Tartan Filters anyone?

I prefer Wilton .............
