No matter what you throw at me Tony, I'm sure Jim was pleased to see me even if things were catching up with me
cos middle age was quite some time ago,;) makes me feel a lot younger. :cool: Shame my clothes just don't understand.( specialy that maroon jumper) :banghead:. Did tell Stacey she should have warned me so I could try and hold it in a bit.=))

Was nice to meet you Jim, shame the weather does what it so often does in his country, as true Brits we try and not let it get the better of us but yesterday's cancelled Silverstone meet did get the better of most of us and makes it harder for you to meet more members, hope the rest of your stay is a little better.:thumbsup:

It was a great afternoon with great food, drink and friendship! And having never met in person it was llighthearted and @t-tony I thought the same when I met Roy. I hope I look as good as he does when I get to his age!! Then thought but I'm already older but with a hell of a lot more hair!!! JIM

@Rah, I promise to cut one each day I'm over here just so you don't get in trouble with the SM! I'll let you find the ones I've cut if we meet up again!! Can't be any fairer than that though!! How were you feeling today?? Stacey was so sick of seeing me she couldn't bring herself to take me out to Silverstone as she said she would! Something about being sooooo pooorly! Good god and I kissed her!! I may have to book in here for the duration!! JIM

Hi Sean, thanks for the welcome. I'm just sitting around the B&B trying to figure out how to get to Tony's in Lincoln and it struck me that you were someplace fairly close. Am I correct? T has me booked in for the 10-11th and the next stop is not until the following weeekwith Bonzo 20-21. Was thinking if my hunch is correct we might be able to meet up sometime during that break. If you are close to Tony I could hop a train or bus if you know of a B&B and would be willing to book me in for a couple of days. Anyone else close by such as @Gail and Ian or @Grumps and Julia. I'd love to see them if possible before I head down to Bonzo's for the week. Drop me a PM if any of this can work out for you. Later, JIM

Hi @oldcarman. Really sorry mate but we can't do anything this week, we are upto our necks in it i'm afraid. Will try to arrange something before you head back over. Will keep an eye on where you are and see if something can be worked out later in the month.
 
Jim, don't forget, your due to see me on the 20th which is a Tuesday, not the weekend. We must sort out how you get to me from where ever you are beforehand. If you can meet up with Sean in Lincoln or anyone else around there, they might be able to meet me halfway to Aylsham so I can take you the rest of the way. Let me know what you can fix up. Looking forward to seeing you mate!..:D

@Sean d what do you think of Bonzo's suggestion above any chance of you making it happen! It would be great to meet you Carrie and especially Molly who is an inspiration we could all follow. If you can let me know ASAP I would greatly appreciate it. Looking forward to meeting everyone and checking out your new and old cars!! Everyday is the weekend when you're retired and on holiday. Maybe I should go see @Shelly before I get to you as she and Alan are away I believe in the 24th for a weeek and I'll be home by the time she returns. I have a whack of days, dependant upon Sean so should be able to fit it in before the Tuesday the 20th
 
Jim you are so right about everyday being a weekend day when you are retired. When I was working, weekends were like islands in a sea of planning , organising, paperwork and hands - on stuff. Crawling around in lofts etc didn't get any easier as the years went by. I feel very thankful, enjoying life and doing lots of leisure stuff. I count myself very lucky. I've just volunteered to be a school reader, helping primary school children with their reading on a one to one basis.
