Betty (our new to us Skoda Yeti) developed 4 very hot disks today and the oil service light came on :wideyed:. Only purchased Betty a few weeks ago so the C-in-C tootled off to the Skoda dealer to voice concern. As it happens all the big guns were in today when the fight began :D. Calm as you like the C-in-C presented the issues to the chap that sold her Betty, he opened his mouth to change step by starting with 'did you leave the handbrake on?' :nailbiting: ......... oh Lordy! A sharp intake of breath from the many assembled plebs swooning the head shed whilst thinking 'glad I didn't say that'=)). Handbrake? retorts the C-in-C, that's where I hang my handbag since the loss of a manual choke followed by a pointed DEFCON1 'how dare you patronize me in such a manner! Head shed steps in and suggests going into a nearby office, instantly recalibrated to the tune of 'don't side-line me, here is good! Anyway, long story short, turns out to be an electronic glitch that's rare. 4 New disks, pads, oil, oil filter, air filter, brake fluid, power steering fluid, a courtesy car and a voucher for a 'valet'.

Oh, couldn't find the paperwork stating that the pre service had been done, it'll have loads now =))

It's great having a 5ft 3 inch C-in-C that makes Attila the Hun look like a Liberal Democrat, saves me having to do it :D

Brilliant story and result mate. Bloody dealers! Whenever I read things like this it just concrete's why I got out of the trade. Standard practice to get a screamer in an office away from the sales floor. Pleased she stood her ground.

Has the C-in-C considered a job at ACAS? =))

The dealer will be quite happy to sort it as it won’t cost them anything. The manufacturer will pay.
