Hey, I am in B.C Canada and I imported a Z4 from Japan. I got it 10 days ago. It has only 90,000km and apart from the roof not working its in mint condition.
I got new tires that will better fit my needs(highway cruising) in size 205/55R17. I re-soldered one of the rear LED turn signals, gave the car an oil and filter change, bled the brakes. All the other fluids look in great shape. I painted the rims, and grills black, repainted the rotor hubs metallic silver, and the brake calipers metallic blue.

Some interesting facts about my z4:
-I probably have the narrowest tires on the forum at 205mm wide.
-My car has the JDM 2.5L N52 6 cyl. In the owners manual it states it is perfectly ok to use regular gas with no issues. I believe ALL north American spec E89 require premium gas.
-The onboard computer claims the oil change intervals are 36,000km!!! (I will change less than 20,000km)
-On 17"(small) slightly oversized non-run flat tires, combined with the standard(non sport) suspension. My z4 should be extra comfy for an e89.
-I re-coded it with NCS expert to get rid of the annoying bongs and bunch of other stuff to make the car much easier to live with.

My plans are to drive it down the coast from Vancouver to LA, then to the the grand canyon, then to yellow stone, then back to Vancouver. Ill start the trip in the next few weeks. Hopefully I can get the top fixed before I leave!

Thanks for the welcome!

Your car looks great! I was debating on doing the wheels Black, gunmetal grey, or bronze. And debating if i should do the calipers red or Blue. I thought black rims looked a bit basic but when i went to the store to get gunmetal paint, they didnt have any in stock, so i went with black.

Thank you, wheels are Ferric Grey, it's an OEM colour, I got BMW dealer to change the colour as the silver was a bit bright against the black. Red is nice but blue would look good too.
