Got myself a Z3 M Coupe Silver Which I really like.
My daily driver is a 330Ci E46 Orient blue beige Interior.. Beautiful Sensible car..

I also have now for 2 years a1998 Porsche C4S 911 993 Last of the air cooled Jobs..
Looks good alongside the Z3 Coupe.. Both rare cars Lovely to behold and similar in performance..

The 993 and Z3 I bought as an alternative to money in the bank.. I think they will both Appreciate in value more than the cash would But each give me great pleasure in driving so beats looking at your bank statement.
Thats my story..

That's a good story too James, so enjoy. Hope the boot floor is OK. Not all are doomed to cracking, depends on the previous owner(s).
Welcome from me near Lincoln.

Tony.

Thts good to know... I think will just put it to the back of my mind for now.. as the car drives fine......And am fed up of throwing money around... Its only a weekender anyway and then It might be the Porsche that goes out... So not doing many miles... Not very good at photoes In fact I belong in the last century When things were so much easier and better.. I think thats why I like older cars.. They have soul Modern cars are all the same You see one and your hard put to put a make on it.. Whereas my Porsche and Z3 are unmistakeably what they are...
I like that..

Hi, I think I hate you already :grumpy:(only joking) nice choice of cars. I can only imagine the predicament you have every morning when you step out the front door, which one do I drive today. Pics please.

NO I get in the daily driver My little 330Ci.. But I do drive each of the others every few days.. In fact been in both today...
Which do I prefer... Difficult one that... The Z is roomier believe it or not.. The cockpit in the air cooled 911s is very cramped,, steering wheel very big and no adjustment in it and being 6ft 1 its a problem.. especially now As I am old git and not so supple any more..
Love the burbling exhaust on the Porsche.. Performance wise they are both pretty rapid.. In fact the performance specs are identical..
If I was going distance would probably take the BMW Because of comfort and Think if I was going into hot weather the BMW more relaiable.. The old Porsches do not like The very hot...
The Bmw is simpler .. Trying to keep track of the oil in the 911 is a nightmare.. and they do use oil.. But the dipstick and oil meters of which there are three quite complicated and never consistent So you are always wondering if you have enough oil in the car Which can be unsettling...
Both Cars are fabulous though and whichever one I am in they give you an air of superiority And I like that.. Pull into a petrol forecourt All the reps and big boys in their brand new audis mercs etc.. These two Trump them every time.. Proper cars.. Regards JamesT
