My new to me Z3 was missing a rear plastic/rubber jacking point. You can see where it was clipped off by a kerb or similar somehow at some point in its life.
I’ve replaced it today and repaired the plastic aerofoil thing by it.

Anyway, I took the other three off to inspect them as I could see small stones and dirt trapped in between them and the sill.

There is early signs of corrosion appearing under the rubber jack pads which hopefully I have nipped in the bud today with some treatment.
None where it was missing the pad.

There is a lesson in there somewhere !

I'd take the outer sills off as a precaution to check the inner sills and treat accordingly.

My outer sills when I bought the car were so rusty I stuck my fingers through them, however the inner sills were in good condition but I zinc primed them (182) then waxoyled, then fitted the new sills. Also rust treated the jacking points and waxoyled. Better to catch it before the inner sills go!
