In all fairness probably because it was raining, but, I parked as far as possible from the entrance at the Doc's this morning, and no one parked next to me.

Doctors don’t see patients anymore - thus the empty car park. The poor Receptionists take the flack these days - and are paid pittance.😬

Don't talk to me about receptionists.

One time I made an appointment to see the GP but by the time I got to see the GP the 'ailment' had gone. But it keeps coming back. So GP said that next time it happens I should phone and get to see him while the 'ailment' is still visible.

So. Few months later it happens and I phoned and explained to the receptionist what the GP had said. Receptionist asked me what the problem was and she said "that's not an emergency. I can book you in a week tomorrow". I tried explaining again what the GP had said but to no avail.

That receptionist is obviously more qualified than the GP.

No they don't. Covid gave them a good excuse and they have run with it.
Luckily we have a 'plant' in our doctor's (a friend who works in the pharmacy) so she can 'bypass' the little Hitlers on the phones. If it wasn't for her, I think we would all be dead by now. Which would suit the GPs just fine, as that would be three less patients to worry about.

My mate, with the same doctors as us and many existing health issues, spent three weeks trying to get to see someone. He gave up in the end (which, again, is part of the plan IMO).

I know many, many people want to see a doctor if they have the slightest sniffle, and I understand doctors not wanting to spend their time on them ( I fully agree with that), but the same rules shouldn't apply for genuine cases.

I have a traffic cone in the boot of mine, comes in handy for parking, but more recently for breakdowns...

A bit of Police Aware tape works just as well, plenty of that around nowadays...
