One of our outside commercial tyre fitters took this off a lorry yesterday. At EMR a scrap metal recycling yard in Lincoln there are Artic bulkers running metal the port for export. This was spotted in one truck tyre just as he was leaving the yard.

This weighs around a kilo at least and you wouldn't want it coming through your screen.

Tony.

You don’t need that!

Following a lorry a couple of years ago I spotted a brick stuck between the rear tyres. Had just touched the brakes to drop back when the brick let go. Slammed on the brakes at that point.
In slow motion this brick spooled through the air and shattered on the road just in front of me. A bit bounced up and took a gouge out of the grill. A car going the other way drove into the shower of bits that were still traveling towards him!
A fraction of a second later braking doesn’t bare thinking about.
Needless to say the lorry plodded on none the wiser.

Look what happened to Massa from just a small nut mate, that's a potential killer :wideyed:

You wouldn't want that flying off in the direction of your windscreen or worse
