Hello fellow Z owners,

You may have guessed from the title of this post that my car’s annual insurance is rolling around. I’m interested to discover which companies you have personally had positive customer experiences with and why, please.

I recently renewed. Tried several of the specialist but ended up with Churchill. I use the car a good amount and rack up miles so the specialists were higher.

It all depends on your usage.

Has Anyone found the specialist, classic car insurers are worth our attention?

I insure all my 3 cars with Sage very good service and reasonable price. My experiance over my many years you get what you pay for but these days you have to keep on the ball re the price but I will see what Classic line can do

You on commission @BMBabe ?
For total transparency Classic Line were approached to join the forum, and get no special treatment over any other trader or insurer. They have offered the forum a 5% commission on any sign ups, although I said to them I wasn't really that bothered as long as they put together the best deals for members.

I've also removed the bickering posts that followed this.

I took most of the comments prior as a poke in the ribs joke.

I had contacted Classic line and they were quite helpful and answered a lot of questions for me. But at the end of the day could not get down to the cost I needed because of the mileage I put on the car each year.

Shopping around to find out who will offer the best deal for your specific needs is the only way. There are a number of good reputable companies to focus on.

I’m with Classicline after others on here recommended them after my previous insurer stopped doing the policy I had before.

Not as cheap as regular insurers but I’ve learned that the cost is not the reason to choose an insurer (unless you have a car that is easily replaced at ‘market’ value, you have no expensive / out of production after market bits/options and you are not fussed about salvage rights, getting paid an agreed value and general customer service).

For agreed value classicline have been very simple to deal with: They will take a report from a garage (not one that works on the car though) or better yet - they have their own form and you send full details and pics. I have a full list of all mods. Did this for and they agreed the value in writing.

Nice and straightforward and were very good on phone and email.

Thanks for being transparent @GazHyde and banter, nothing less.

My Z3s insurance renewal is getting ever closer so has anyone any tales of good or not-so-good experiences of insurers to share as I’m researching which company to go with.

I'm going down that road, 2 Zeds, the wife's nasty Nissan and possibly the step sons vulgar Vauxhall
Is it cheaper then, a multi-car Policy?

It can be, it depends I guess on the people, cars and post code, worth looking into though
