But was on the isle of Guernsey till recently.

Very low mileage? 3.0? High Spec? .............................. no.

Tony.

I just looked at their website, and Ebay advert.

All those photos and none of them show the drivers seat bolster.

I hate it when sellers do that, it doesn't install confidence.

The seat runners look rusty.

Not the end of the world, but check the electrics in the seats work.

Does anyone know if they use salt on the roads in Guernsey?

Maybe it's a minter underneath?

My feeling is that it's expensive.

For that money I'd expect it to be a near perfect car with all the history etc...

But I'm suspecting the drivers seat isn't perfect.

They may not use salt on the roads Tim, but you're never going to be very far from the sea.

Tony.

It’s a very small island. If it has lived its life over there from new or a long number of years it’s going to get the weathering. Shame it was not this time last year as I could have checked it out over there. Saying that if it’s had a caring owner measures would have been taken but to be honest I never seen any bangers over there compared to the Isle of Man.

Mozz just bought one same year with 32k for 5k and that was with a hardtop

If you can, check what an insurance company value it at. I recently bought a top of the range, one owner, FDSH, 43k miles Honda Accord, 2006 model, and I paid £3k for it, and I'm very, very pleased with my purchase.

When I was got my insurance (AA) they would only value it at £1.7k

Just went on the web site to have a looksee........and saw .....WHEN did Landrover Defenders become nearly double the price of Porsche 911s o_Oo_O:facepalm:
Having driven many many Landrovers over the years (as good as they are offroad) they are pretty crap as a driving vehicle I know we are not comparing apples and pears here but.....:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm: =))=))=))=))
note: if any Landrover owners are offended by this post ....... get over it buttercup ;))

44,000 miles on Guernsey means an awful lot of starts and stops, entries and exits. Maybe that's why they haven't shown the seat bolster. I understand the speed limit on Guernsey is 40mph so it will have just pottered about for most of its life. A high miler that has lived its life on the M1 or M6 may have a bit of gravel rash on the front panels, but provided it's been properly serviced could well be a better bet than a 40k Channel Islands car.

Id say no - knock £2.5k off and its still on the high side - as Robert says above 44k on the Channel Isles isn't that same as a mainland car. Nice colour though
