Is this a good idea?

I have four gleaming new Brembo discs to go on the car......

They come with the body area painted in a hammered gun metal colour. So.....Before I put any paint on them is it a good idea to paint over the gun metal area with Red calliper paint??

The old ones were painted red and looked ok showing through the wheels ......The callipers themselves are now red, and cant decide if that would be enough, and just leave the discs grey.

Any thoughts or suggestions ? ( other than the calliper is on the wrong way round )

Personally I would leave the discs grey but that is only my opinion, it will be interesting to read what other members think.

I too think they would be better left grey as a flash of the red callers as you fly down the road after your excellent refurb would look quite eye catching

I'm HT on this, I left my discs grey but painted the calipers yellow.
But it's your car, so whatever floats your boat.

Red calipers enough IMO The grey Discs will complement the red

I was unsure about painting them, and glad I asked for other opinions.

I’d leave the discs, too Malc @Mazza The red callipers will really stand out against their grey colour.

The coating Brembo put on is very good. Not like other manufacturers. I've not seen any rust yet over several cars wtih Brembo including my high mileage 330 GT and that's over 3 years. The colour is pretty enough too.

My black 3.0 Sport has Brembos and red calipers.

Agree with the others Malc, leave them as is. The red of the calipers will be enough
