I would agree with Jim's post up to a point, however has it really devalued the car as it's certainly a one-off. Wouldn't be my choice to do that as I don't trust Gullwing doors, I didn't when I got into that I8 last year.
Oh, and that old Merc is an ugly old shed! Seen smaller asses over here. . . . . . . ;)=))

I resent your comment about my comment being " stupid" Mike. But I respect your right to think whatever about the Z8. It reminds me very much of @David and the job he did on his Z3 sans wide white walls painted on which I think was very classy looking! JIM
 
Like the doors but hate the paint job, but wouldn't turn it down for a Christmas present. Each to their own.. Not F*****up just individual.
 
If it was a kit car my view would be different, But to mess with such a valuable rare car its a no from me.

I suppose we are all entitled to do as we will with our own property, as also entitled to our own opinion and to share on forums! At the end of the day that's what forums are for right? A group of strange folk sharing strange ideas on a individual subjects... Can't find the emoji for pinch of salt....
 
Easily put back to standard, more so if it is wrapped and not painted.
Customising is what it is, a personal statement, maybe it doesn't blow everyone's frock up, but the owner obviously like's it.
Personally, I'm not sure, but I appreciate the effort.
 
The Chevy and the Zed8 are both iconic cars. Who can afford one , can afford the other too , because they're in the same range of price. So what for to mix them?
At this level my choice will be to keep original version of the 8.
