Is today's understatement of biblical proportions! The C-in-C ran Jack to work this morning due to the weather. Many cows huddled round the gate and wouldn't move, reversed and got bogged in :arghh:

After much rocking and rolling, Betty the Yeti is now free and I may need a shower ...... and burn my clothes!

Oh, Betty may need a wash :oops:

Literally :arghh: More rain than Storm Desmond a few years ago. A tad Moist in Cumbria with much more to come.
 
Were the lakes that low Andy? I suspect that as the level rises in the lake next door my pit may start to get damp again. Bone dry at the moment.

The worst rain in decades mate and more to come, Amber Warning with 16 Flood Alerts, bridges closed for 21 days etc. Two Lakes 3 miles apart are now one, with a village in the middle :oops:

Same here , we had terrible rain this morning, now it’s sunny , but I expect it will be turning dark here soon 🤔
 
Just got back from taking Charlotte back to Leeds Uni (home for ickle sis birthday), it's sunny as you like down there! Got to the "Welcome to Cumbria" sign on the A66, 'av it! Periscope deployed 😥

You need to get a mud vehicle. Having said that a good pitch fork might help with drainage!😬

Yep, we were out with @Bozzy again today. We were in the wrong form of transport, we should have been in boats not Zeds=))
