Hi Peeps,

It was brought to my attention yesterday that some iOS users, mostly iPhone users, we're having some issues accessing certain elements of the site. I use an iPad and android phone and haven't seen any of these particular issues.

If iOS users could list any issues they have in this thread that would be awesome. If we could keep this thread just about iOS issues and no snarky comments about Androids being better blah blah that would be very helpful!

Issues raised yesterday.
  • Login button not functioning when clicked
  • Inability to create desktop tile direct to sites URL (works fine on my iPad using Safari - just tested)
  • Threads with large numbers of youtube embeds cause issues (seen this personally on my iPad)
I will be scouring eBay to see if I can find an old iPhone I can buy for testing, but if someone has an unwanted one kicking around they would like to donate that would be splendid ;)

I use an android phone during the day and the iPad for sofa surfing; I generally find the iPad takes 2 taps on a button or image for it to register whereas the the phone (and PC) get it in one.

Android 1
iOS nil

I couldn't access the site yesterday lunch time also Shirl couldn't get on FB. We just put it down to crap Wifi at Bob Evans. Maybe not?

Tony.

I've been having to double click on the Smiles and the Animated items and the like , agree etc buttons but it not a problem :p

I found in the driving songs thread that the page will give a loading error I don't know if it's down to the size of the embedded YouTube vids.

I had problems early on with that thread crashing my iPad so gave up and assumed it was down to all the embedded stuff.

Thought the youtube video thing was just my iPad. Didn't realise it affected other people. Just loaded it fine on my droid worth a minimal signal and it was ok. Added to the list in the first post now.

Tony I Think your issue would have been local to you and most likely crap Internet connection. Had no alerts from the server in months now. It's such a happy server!
