They are a nice car dave, a lot more comfy than the z3, Especially on long runs
First thing we did on ours was get rid of the run flatsSorry @Googy, missed your post but as @smartbear and @EnthuZiaZT say "If you change the runflats for normal tyres it's recognised as making the cars handle better, gives much improved ride quality, reduces tramlining & you save a fortune as well."
So I plan to do so as well
Ha Mike, I've not even been in her today.Have you polished the new Z4 yet Dave? I know you didn't polish it once yesterday.
Yes of course! Jue had just said exactly that! I have a c*** memory if afraid, it's my age!Actually Dave that is when we made our mind up to get one. Pauline asked Mike & Sandy (@EnthuZiaZT) if she could sit in theirs to see how she felt. Of course they said yes and even allowed Pauline to move the seat. She liked the driving position and the rest as they say is history...
Yes, but what a choice eh Brian...It will be hard to decide which to bring on cruises now...
Cheers Tony, you'll see it on one of the meets this year I'm sure... Enjoy Dave, a fine motor...
Hi @smartbear, I was just quoting the advert in my original post but seeing the paintwork sparkle in the sun (yes, we did have some yesterday) it certainly looks a metallic rather than a solid colour. But yes you're right according to the turret it is silver greyPs, your car isn't metallic grey it's silver grey, I know this because it's the same as mine
I've only done about 100 miles but yes it does seem to pull well and certainly goes like stink in 3rd and above 3,000RPM. Yet to see what the sport button doesThe magnesium n52 engine is a stonker
Yep Brian, more clothes to takeGreat looking car and bet you are both pleased with it.
Choices, Choices, decisions, decisions. Still more room for Pauline on your Euro cruise now.
We never got round to giving the Z3 a name she was just 'Zed'. So we'll be a bit boring actually Stacey and for now they will be 'Zed 3' and 'Zed 4'. We'll see, Pauline likes 'smokey' - sounds more like a cats name though.Congratulations Do you have a name for her/him yet? Lovely Z4
Cheers Frankie. It was not such a long trip home for me as you when you bought your ///MThe best of luck with it. Frankie
Does that make you the Bandit then Dave, or the Snowman. Either way you've started the seed floating in my brain now.'smokey'
Isn't it GREAT just driving it? You don't even notice the miles going by. FrankieCheers Frankie. It was not such a long trip home for me as you when you bought your ///M
It looked a blast for you two Frankie, when I fetched mine home from north of Sheffield, coming down the M1 past Sheffield and Rotherham on Friday evening rush hour in the pi$$ing rain it wasn't a lot of fun but the next day, now that was a different matter altogether. You don't even notice the miles going by
I still can't believe we had no rain the whole time~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It looked a blast for you two Frankie, when I fetched mine home from north of Sheffield, coming down the M1 past Sheffield and Rotherham on Friday evening rush hour in the pi$$ing rain it wasn't a lot of fun but the next day, now that was a different matter altogether.
Tony.
Eenie meanies minie moYes, but what a choice eh Brian
That's easy Brian, Pauline. She doesn't drive the Z3 as the door mirrors are too far back when she's in driving position. She's OK in the 4But who drives the new one
Interesting as a lot of people on the Z4 Forum say change to normal tyres to "improve" the ride quality - i.e. to make it softer? I changed the wheels over on ours to try the Z3 on runflats and the Z4 on normal tyres and it didn't take long to change them back! I found that the roadholding on the Z4 didn't feel anywhere near as good on normal tyres - I was a good 10mph less going round one of my favourite roundabouts. The Z4 is much stiffer than the Z3 and the ride is hard but it was designed to be, and the harder springs with the 15mm lowering on the "s"ports models just takes it one stage further. So probably in a minority but the ride is fine for us, and Jean used for 5 years as her daily driver.Sorry @Googy, missed your post but as @smartbear and @EnthuZiaZT say "If you change the runflats for normal tyres it's recognised as making the cars handle better, gives much improved ride quality, reduces tramlining & you save a fortune as well."
So I plan to do so as well
