2 years ago I bought a 97 Z3. I got it on a salvage title. Had some front end bumper and hood damage but being as old as it was the insurance company totaled it and I picked it up at a fairly reasonable price. I bought it in April and had it legal before July. I found it to be a straight forward little car to work on and really enjoy driving it in the warm weather months. I looked at some of your articles and found them to be useful. My next project is to replace the shocks and struts. I would like some ideas on what works best for back road country driving in southern Missouri. It's a neat little toy and my wife likes driving it more than riding on the back of a motorcycle. A happy wife makes a happy life. This site looks like fun.

Welcome from Tasmania Australia. Did you realize that pictures of the great car are mandatory? :) Just joking but would love to see 'em anyway.

Welcome Ed!
We love when somebody makes a Zed live again and be sure the Zed will reward you!
Would like to see your car and specify the engine too.

Thank you for the response I wasn't expecting any. It's nice to know your a friendly group, even though your on the other side of the world. I'll ad a picture the next time I get on. It"s a 2.8 manual. With 132k runs like a champ except the suspension it"s still original, any suggestions. All I want is a good driver not a racer. Belton Mo. Just south of Kansas City

If you want it to drive like it should as standard Ed, you can do worse than fitting original BMW replacement parts.

Tony.
