Hi People, I am retired and am working on a Z3 1997 1.9 which is in a bad way! It is being stripped down and am working on the rear end.
I have had difficulty sourcing parts from uk. I managed to obtain new sills (entrance panels!).
I want to remove the trailing arm which needs TLC. getting there!
Any parts contacts out there would appreciate.
I removed the rear exhaust and found part of the pipe had been squashed to about half the diameter, so another part to get!
I am in Birmingham and welcome advice etc.
Regards one and all.
Pete

Hi Pete, welcome from me near Lincoln. Make sure the exhaust isn't supposed to "flattened" before replacing it. It's common to see this.

Tony.

ps. Breakers on here, in no particular order are, @spurs fan in a coupe , @mrscalex , @Synclare . All good guys, very helpful.
Also post adds in the Wanted section.

Welcome to the forum, as Tony states above the exhaust is supposed to be shaped this way, if you do not have this flattened section the exhaust will knock (unless you have an aftermarket exhaust which hangs lower to avoid the knocking).

Hi Im all for the rear end club! Your diff looks great. Shame you have to use it because would look awesome in the front room with glass top to use as a table! Im only joking of course!
I have removed l/h rear disc, so am slowly getting there! I can spot some surgery needs to be done so all must be removed.
I intend replacing brake pipes doing my own using kunifer. I wish I had 2 workshops!
Cheers thanks for help.
