Is your Avatar shot in the Pyrenees/Alps
Shot taken behind the Mount Rushmore memorial on an access road from the campsite we were staying at. When I retired in 1999 we sold up in Yorkshire, bought one-way tickets to the USA, bought the 'wing/trailer/camping gear over there and spent 9 months travelling over 24,000 miles touring the country.....all corners visited!

I thought that was Mt. Rushmore in the background, another one on our "to do" list once we can spend more time stateside David.

Yes, really you must do it Tony, it's an unbelievable country. I know that some of the recent publicity hasn't been first class but in the 'heartland' Americans are wonderful people, we travelled all those miles and the only negative thing that happened to us was a slightly offhand waitress in a Dennys diner..

Ahh! Denny's, our first port of call after dumping the luggage at the villa. I love their coffee.

First time we went down the Keys we used US1 and found quite a few Denny's on the way!

What a ride that is, what about that seven mile bridge? I would happily repeat the whole trip in my Zed if I could.
Me too, we keep seeing a red Z4 at the car rental depot at MCO I would love to hire that, but instead we put up with a Mustang.;) The first time you see the 7 mile bridge it's a real eye opener isn't it?

Yes it is, quite an experience driving along an elevated highway with only the sea in view either side. It's just one of the great roads you should travel when you get around to your big trip Tony......shame about the Mustang

Been to Key West a few times now mate, we're thinking of heading out west Route 66, Monument Valley and all that.

The best part of the US is out West, this is the area I was referring to when I mentioned the 'heartland' earlier. We rode part of 66 and thro' Monument Valley.....I could go on and on.
