Hi Guys got my Atlantic Blue 1998 Z3 with 30k on clock and loving it,
Can’t stop tinkering and found this forum.
You guys really know a lot.
I hope I can learn some things here.
Like what is the small round key for that came with the car it’s about a 1/4 diameter and like a safe key ?

Hi and Welcome. The key will be the Valet key i should imagine. It does not open the boot or glove box. It is what you would give to someone who parks your car for you

Hi, Andy and welcome to the forum some photo's of the car would be nice? the key you mention according to a mate on here (Lee) fits the alarm so you can turn it of if you need to, hope this helps.

You could be right. Depends which key the OP is referring to. The small one which may look like this is for the siren.

The Valet Key should look something like this

Yes that key is the siren one which figures why the alarm siren did not work only flashing hazard lights.
Ok here we go where is the siren switch

Welcome, and the siren is usually located under the fuse box (roughly) on passengers side under the bonnet, about 15cm box.
