I had three green service lights which bears no resemblance to the servicing that has been done by me....so, and it was a big leap of faith, I followed an internet procedure to get all five lights back on.
Open the bonnet, take the lid off the round 20 pin connector, where a scanner plugs in, locate pin 7. This is the outer most ring, in line with the ‘pacman’ mouth in the centre of the connector. Turn the ignition on, so the lights are showing, then using a bit of wire connect pin 7 to earth. ( I used the top of the strut ) then count ten seconds ....the most nerve racking bit........disconnect the wire after the ten seconds and surprise surprise when you look at the dial all the green lights are back.

I am always nervous of doing stuff like this but it worked ok and I started the engine after and all ok.

Now sitting in the garden, in the sun with a beer, thinking how bloody clever I am =))

Off to Verwood tomorrow via the New Forest, if the weather is like today, it will be a lovely run. Might even stop and take some photos
