Perhaps it's overuse, as I've been using the roof every day for more than a month! But the switch is not behaving properly, I have to 'wiggle' the buttons to make them work. I remove the switch, cleaned the contacts, all appear good, so it looks something on the 'inside' of the switch proper...

Known problem? Does someone know how to disassemble the switch without destroying it?

I have one at the first bend or flex point, the switch is hidden in the metal former or soft top frame. All I did was bypass it, that is pput a jumper across it and the top has been working ever since.
I meant to replace it but haven't gotten around to it off course.

Agree, check the micro switch on the roof first. If this is still working then the most likely culprit would be the roof switch on the dash.

My dash roof switch was temperamental and then finally gave up. Luckily my local scrap yard had one, so I changed it over to test if it was the switch and it’s worked perfect ever since.

Thanks guys, I've located the microswitch, and gave it a good squirt of contact cleaner -- if that continues I'll have to change the buttons...

Don't forget that the brake light switch is in the circuit also, but if it works when you 'wiggle the buttons' that would be the first thing to change.
