My initial reaction when someone showed it to me...
"Well that article is a whole mismatch of writing cliche... Honestly, if he spent less time trying to make himself come across as hilarious then we wouldn't notice his article is literally 10 minutes on google."
That's not me being sniffy, it's just the kind of lazy half arsed journalist wannabee article. Sad that someone may carry out research in to buying any car and end up on an article like that and be put off.

The author is likely an ardent MX5 fan and didn't want to give any credence to the Z3.

Read the article this morning.
He obviously doesn’t think much of the Z3 and he’s entitled to his opinion, and that’s ALL it is, his opinion.He’ll be proved wrong, not that he’ll change his mind.

The writer is trying too hard to be a "Jeremy Clarkson" who was himself trying to be a comedian before anything else.
