Well not really, insurance for domestic and pleasure does not cover you for commuting, you must tell the insurance company if you are using your car to get to and from work, that's probably what they were asking for.
 
I re insured mine with the same company I was with today. With a small alteration in mileage it was £325 in total.

My wife just renewed the insurance on her Z3M but has changed companies. The renewal with RAC would have been £17 dearer than last year at £235.19 but she ended up getting fully comp. with an agreed valuation and me as a named driver for £149.00! Just got to live long enough to use it now. ☠️
 
That's with Adrian Flux. Limited to 5000 miles and £300 excess but a trip to Italy is looking highly unlikely in the next 12 months so 5000 miles will be more than enough.
 
A lot of us in the same boat , Tony. We have a holiday booked and paid to Rhodes in June, but I am doubtful that will happen.
 
We're "lucky" in the respect that we only forked out for flights. We didnt book any thing for the west coast fortunately.

Losing a holiday is much better than losing your life though.
I am a bit sick of hearing teenagers and teachers whinging on about postponed exams as if its the end of the world, I think they need to get a bit of perspective.
And as for all the numpties emptying the supermarkets, words fail me.
 
I've ended up staying with Adrian Flux, a phone call today to enquire about dashcam discount and eventually renewed for £240. I have to resubmit my agreed value documents and photos. Quite happy with the outcome. :thumbsup:
