I just had insurance renewal through with churchill £188 robbers... last year was £169....

1998, 1.9, z3, 54 year old male wife as named driver, married, with car garaged south wales..

got on the phone to them.. and they dropped it to £182 WOW... £6.... then told them i had cheaper on comparison website with them.. at £169 ohh we can match that too...

Why didnt they just tell me that in the first place...?? on the renewal letter

ohh your car may have changed over the year... rubbish its the same car..

anyway told them i got even cheaper at performance direct at £130 and to stick their insurance as well be going elsewhere..

b.t.w. also got an even cheaper quote with lancaster at £110 but a bigger excess i think £350 and also agreed value £2000 at £145...

just passing this on if anyone has renewal coming up and needs a few companies to try..

Sounds like you got a good deal eventually! FYI, we have arranged an insurance deal for this forum with Classicline where you get 15% club discount as well as legal cover and full breakdown cover including homestart built in to the policy. We also have agreed value options too so give us a call on 01455 639000 :)

theres a few more try then thanks i not taken any of the companies out yet as got until the 13th march

My mother is with Churchill and had to claim a couple of times in recent years (all non-fault). Churchill were really good on both occasions tho and made it super painless. So she renewed with them again despite it being a few quid dearer than price comparison sites

I renewed with A-Plan this year if you want another option, no-one else could come close:thumbsup:

I used to work for a (pet) insurance company. They would increase their premiums by x% across the board every year because a high percentage of customers would renew without even questioning it. I looked at the history of a few clients out of interest. One client took their policy out at something like £13 a month. Never claimed. Just renewed every year. Then after 8 or 9 years, they got in touch asking why their premium was over £100 a month. The only way to get a good deal is to shop around every year.

Mine is due end of next month, so will be checking around as normal. So give CL a call.

We had a good competitive quote on our Z from Christian at Classicline a couple of week ago which we have gone with.

I don't think Churchill are any worse than any of the others. I've had my daily driver VW Up with Admiral for a couple of years now. Got my renewal notice today and thought it seemed a bit high. Did a bit of Googling to see what I could save. Churchill were the cheapest. Exactly the same cover and £100 a year less. You just have to keep shopping around. Sadly, customer loyalty is a concept that has disappeared from the vocabulary of today's service providers.......

I was with classic line last year and expected a hike this year but they came I at the same price and now I have 15% off that price

Thanks for the great feedback in the previous posts. As Christian has mentioned members of zroadster.org. get a 15% club discount with ClassicLine so when you are next due for renewal, do give us a try on 01455 639000.

Interesting, When I got the renewals for our house and dog I noticed the dog had gone by nearly £40 per month. I called in and was informed it was for 2 reasons ,
1 -- The dog had gone over 10 years old
2 -- She is having ongoing treatment from the vet, with daily pills for ever. They also pointed out they had not received any invoices from me since diagnoses 6 month earlier,(they had phoned me twice but I kept forgetting)and recommended I get my vet to submit them. They avearage £58 per month, considerably (£240 year) more than the policy had increased.

I have been with the same insurer for many years , and receive a 18.5% Mutual Bonus that helps keep costs down

I think that may be standard behaviour for pet policies.

Sorry, I've only just seen this! But I can see you've been in touch since and got your discount! Let me know if you need anything.
