Insurance again......

No one will be surprised by this but maybe worth posting.....

Last year's premium via Lancaster Insurance £116.66 which I was happy with. Renewal notice says premium for coming year will be £161.50!

10 minutes on Meerkat (all my details are already stored and automatically updated) which included adding in the recent engine mods, and my lowest quote is Lancaster at.............£116.66. Paid that quickly.

I'm sure few still do, but please don't auto re-new.

My renewal came t'other week, was expecting them to try it on but no, it was about a pound or so cheaper as I recall.
Get this though, at the bottom of the renewal letter it reads, and I quote it in full: "You have been with us for a number of years. You may be able to get the insurance cover you want at a better price if you shop around" - so because I've been loyal to you you're going to rip me of then? Strange world!

That must be standard industry wording as it was on my renewal as well.

If the brokers were honest with you at the outset then perhaps they wouldn't be losing a percentage to Compare the Meerkat etc.

Both the insurances on the Zeds came back with much higher premiums as usual, so got a multi-car quote that was pretty good for the M and the Z4, in big letter across the quote. "This is an introductory offer, future quotes may be higher"

So it's a one year deal then, at least they acknowledged that. But what happened to encouraging customer loyalty?
