Inspection message?

Hi @Stargazer if all you want is to reset the "service" light you need something like this, I found this one at not much more than £5 on eBay.

The Si based model which have the N52B25 & N52B30 engines. You tell the oil level by pressing a button on the dashboard.

That's pretty ridiculous. I am not regretting I have old good bulletproof m54b25! Only m54b30 would be better!

Mine has a dipstick by the way; the oil is checked this way.

It appears they have done, in February and a couple of hundred of miles before I acquired the car two weeks ago, an oil change plus filter... The last time the booklet has an Inspection 1 or 2 however ticked is 2011 (and approximately 24000 miles back).

Which one is biggest one Inspection 1 or 2? I might do the one which is the most significant in February, one year on after the last oil change (and also carry out another one of those too). In the mean time I may use what t-tony suggested from eBay I guess.

Inspection 2 is the biggest. I never bother with the other services, I get the filters, fluids and oil changed every 6k to 8k and the Plugs every other year so around 12k to 16k
