Ask Jonttt how he got his thread. If you can get the instructions I'll get it for you...

I suppose if you just go to your thread on .net and edit your post you can just do a copy and paste onto a new thread here, shouldn't be too difficult.

Yes that should work just fine as the images are all stored externally they all should "just work" as well :) If anyone gets stuck doing that let me know what the thread is and I'll copy it out of the version I have. I'll only do that for your own content at the moment as I don't think it fair to go taking other peoples threads unless we have permission. Obviously historical records of the site are legal and already available (eg. http://web.archive.org/web/201101071107 ... portal.php) but just from a moral point of view I would prefer to have the permission of the owner of the content before posting it on here.

Cheers,
James

Congratulations to Gary and James for the amount of time and effort they have put in to get .org up and running so quickly.
It is a shame that .net is not lost, but accessibility issues for the majority render it somewhat useless as a contemporary means of communication.
AFAIK Tim promised upgrades that haven't materialised so I hope he accepts this new site with the spirit and manner in which it has been created.
Good Luck to you all.

Terry
I'd like to reiterate what Titan has said. Well over a hundred members in five days (which to be fair is probably 90% of the active membership of .net) and heaps of well deserved praise.

It would be disrespectful to Gary and James to return to .net now. I hope that .org soon becomes as respected and popular as .net was as a source of all that is Z Roadster.

I seriously love you guys =((

That said, any site like this would not exist/survive without members. If this had been any other forum I subscribe to, I probably would not have bothered.

What has made this site in to what it in the last 4 days are you lot. It's that simple.

All James and I have done is put our day job skills to good use! Now if you wanted a cake, you would all be sat at home staring at an empty plate! I certainly can't kite surf, can't strip an engine down and my driving is a bit ropey to say the least!

So if everyone could turn to the member on their left and pat them on the back as well... :ymapplause:

Hi James, I clicked on that link and got this warning.

http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?u ... bd727f2569

Just thought I would let you know.

Thanks for that. It might be the result of when .net was hacked or might just be a false positive from norton which i'm guessing you have installed on your computer. My antivirus hasn't complained about anything but that isn't to say that it's right and yours is wrong so as always treat links with care.

If i spot anything untoward i'll let ya'll know, as they say from the Zeds home.

I think it is a big well done Gary, but in order to stop the empty plates, if you do need a Cake, just ask, I will whip you one straight up! My Xmas cake is fermenting nicely right about now....

IMHO going back to .net is a step backwards, it is plain the real enthusiasts have congregated to make the best out of a bad situation, and they deserve the support long term.............. :-bd
