Little critter must have been hungry. Sure there's not a food sauce you've overlooked that's attracted it in and is now depleted, i.e. Dog biscuits, bird feeder food etc that's not sealed in containers. They say Field mice only visit where they can easily get to food sauce but don't usually stay. Sounds like you've probably got got a family in there somewhere. Don't block the hole to nest if found untill your sure you've got them all. I personally would buy a couple of toy z3s, leave em out for them to ride around in, that way you could adopt them into the family.=))

Not as big pal, but one less rat is always good, couldn't find the slugs for my rifle so had to deal with it manually, it was in a live trap

2 nights with better quality traps set and 3 caught.
Only little ones. Interestingly the traps under the cars caught them. The one in the engine bay untouched so it looks like they may not have been living in the engine but coming in at night for warmth.
Traps will remain out in case there’s more.

have to say I feel quite sorry, the field mice are quite cute but can’t be dealing with written off cars because of wiring issues..
