By far the best type of "easy out" are a type made by Bluepoint (Snap-on), these are dead parralell, no taper at all. They have six sharp grooves down their sides onto which you slide a hexagonal drive bit. They come with a set of drill bits to suit each size . I'll take pictures tomorrow if I get chance. Beauty of this type is there is no swelling of the broken screw/bolt etc. due to the extractor being parallel, and you slide the turning socket right down to the broken item to minimise twisting of the tool. Good kit had my set for many years (25)
