The differences between an Impact Driver and an Impact Wrench are quite obvious when you see them side by side. The driver uses a 1/4" hex. to drive the tool.
I have some magnetic sockets which are very useful for light car work (up 8mm fittings/13mm spanner size) also screw driving using angle adaptors and extensions.
Useful for such as bell housing bolt removal for clutch changing. You can use 1/4, 3/8 and even 1/2" socket adaptors but I only use 3/8.
The Impact Wrench uses an 1/2" square anvil (above) to drive sockets.
The two tools side be side.
For screw driving I like this little tool as well, also small bolts.
Tony.
