I'm officially a Zed Head!!

So, thanks to the great welcome and my heart ruling my head, I am now a Z3 owner.

Special shout out to the extremely helpful @yocky z3 2.0 - I may not have looked at everything we discussed, but I definitely felt better prepared to have a good look round.

I may have got a bit giddy as soon as I saw it and couldn't wait for the chap to get the exhaust fixed, so used it as a bargaining chip on the price instead and drove it away that afternoon.

So chuffed I managed to get the much sought-after grey, so all-in-all I reckon it was a good price.

I think I am going to treat it to an early "big" service and thorough search for points of worry, so if anyone can recommend a garage near Barnsley, I would be interested.

Hopefully attached is my first picture of it.

I haven't decided what tweaks I am going to make yet, but I'm sure I'll see plenty of inspiration on here.

I think yours may count as a little more than "tweaks"!! - Looks awesome.

Oooh! - How noticeable is the change in handling with spacers, or is it merely cosmetic? - I hadn't noticed the "opportunity" till you mentioned it.

That's great mate. Being a Roadster first and foremost is what it's all about.

I've seen a whole lot of beige hoods in Florida but not so many over here. I imagine they're slightly cooler inside the car in a hot climate?
