So, thanks to the great welcome and my heart ruling my head, I am now a Z3 owner.

Special shout out to the extremely helpful @yocky z3 2.0 - I may not have looked at everything we discussed, but I definitely felt better prepared to have a good look round.

I may have got a bit giddy as soon as I saw it and couldn't wait for the chap to get the exhaust fixed, so used it as a bargaining chip on the price instead and drove it away that afternoon.

So chuffed I managed to get the much sought-after grey, so all-in-all I reckon it was a good price.

I think I am going to treat it to an early "big" service and thorough search for points of worry, so if anyone can recommend a garage near Barnsley, I would be interested.

Hopefully attached is my first picture of it.

I haven't decided what tweaks I am going to make yet, but I'm sure I'll see plenty of inspiration on here.

Great looking Zed, love the colour. Definitely need some spacers on those rear wheels.

Glad you got the colour you were after, I have to say it is a very nice colour too;) What engine size did you go for? You're not a million miles away from the ZedShed (Midlands).

Quite a bit of both. The better look keeps you happy till you drive it again. Win. Win.

Thanks - I ended up with a 1.9 - Persuaded myself that I should be all about the economy... :D

That's great mate. Being a Roadster first and foremost is what it's all about.
If you would like to visit the Zedshed to service it you'll be made more than welcome. A couple of regulars are from your neck of the woods.

Very nice, Eibach springs and spacers would be a first for me, shicks will more then likely need replacing at the same time, another job for us at Tony's

I fear some of you may tempt me to get carries away before I've even established whether I have bought a reliable zed... =))

I've seen a whole lot of beige hoods in Florida but not so many over here. I imagine they're slightly cooler inside the car in a hot climate?
