Good to get home safely Shelly when it's like that on the roads, too many idiots still want to drive on your back bumper. Had none here thankfully.

Lots of police about telling businesses to close
The two bridges are closing at 1 today
High tide should hit soon
A lot of the shops have closed already
Traffic everywhere as people as trying to get home away from the river

That looked like my Z when I left work .......
Yep had a young lass skid straight out of a side street in front of me today. If the other side of the road was entirely clear for me to take up it would have been alla vista baby!
Shelly driving on that sleet is worse than nice compacted snow init.
I had to laugh at HTs posts though, especially the snowman one!

Personally I like driving in the snow, makes life and driving so much more interesting, it's that kamikaze spirit you know!!!!

Reminds me of my time in Germany as a 18yr old, 3ft of snow everywhere and they told me to go out in a Landrover long wheelbase and pick up the major who couldn't get his car out of his drive, this L/R had mud tyres all round and was like driving on slicks as the only point of contact was the smooth 3inch ring around the centre of the tyre, lucky I had a change of undies back at the barracks. Any one on here remember those tyres, all they were good for was following the tanks cross country. 10mls later and I wish I'b never passed my test. When I complained we should have chains they laughed and said it's good experience. It's not it's BAD management I said and got 3extra guard duties. Bl...y Army.
