For clarity I too am on the 'right bus' ;)
 
So, to be serious for a minute, I need a clay bar, a good polish and a good wax plus polishing cloths/mits.
I also need to ditch the sponge and the chamois leather?

The sponge comes in ok for your wheels and the shammy is ok for the inside of your doors, boot and slam panel etc. Good for drying rubber seals prior to feeding. Micro fibre cloths and a good micro fibre towel and a good mitt will do the job along with a clay bar. Loads of good polish/wax choices in all the outlets, I get mine on Amazon, usually cheaper.
