For him, it's the wind and rain. Thankfully no storm surge there, too far inland. He does have a small pond behind him. Enough rain in that and there might be problems but he said on the phone there was a runoff relief so that it shouldn't affect him. Frankie

No top down touring today then! Hope you escape any major problems , but it looks like you will miss the worst of it.
All ok here folks! Not that bad through the night. High winds and squally showers forecast all day today. Raining quite hard and occasionally it goes fom verticle to horizontal for a spell. A car accross the road had its alarm set off by one of the squalls. Roads "closed" and everywhere closed for at least today so no where to go. At the coast it was much worse as expected.

ps. Some counties imposed a curfew from late last night till early tomorrow with threat of being arrested if you don't have very good cause to be out.

No, this is the first time we've experienced a hurricane Shelly. I wouldn't have wanted to be in a "trailer" last night to be fair.

Good news Tony.I was there in 2004 when Hurricane Charley went through Disney closed and we where under cerfew at the hotel on international drive.
It had taken trees and roofs off around the area it was a Cat 4 as it came in near Tampa and cut right across winds gusting at 100mph plus exciting but frightening all the same.

Not good news then ! I remember the airports being shut when we left only virgin atlantic had got in 6 planes on the tarmac . People where delayed 3 or 4 days ....worse places to be stuck !
